Okay, so I'm probably part of the ski team at my high school and began to train mid-November. I want to be like in the way as possible for this upcoming ski season, so im asking for exercises that are good skiers. Hello Conor, Great question. Much of this depends on what your current fitness level? I will assume they have a good fitness level and access some gym equipment. Here is an example of a program that could consider. Remember this is only a guide. You should talk to a specialist in the exercise or strength coach in your area for an exercise program well designed. Strength Training: 2 days per week; 2.4 Perform series of 8-15 repetitions, depending on your fitness level (upper and lower groups of repetitions with lighter loads, if they are less fit) Warm up: jog or bike for 5-8 minutes of stretching: the hamstrings, quadriceps (front thigh) and hip (about 5 minutes total) Power: Focus on the lower body 2 exercises like lunges and leg curls with a fit ball, 2 upper body pulling exercises such as UPS, sauces and deflections, 2 basic exercises like the pikes of a medicine ball rotation and torso rotation with a band and 1 total body exercise like a dead weight.
