Ice skating is very popular nowadays. But it is new after a while. The oldest ice skates ever found are said to be over 5,000 years old and were made of leg bones from either a horse or an ox. He assured the feet with leather straps and a metal spike was used to propel the skater forward. Of course, these ice skates is used primarily for ease of transportation on the ice and less for entertainment even though it can never be completely safe!

Scandinavia and Finland are the places, obviously for the first ice skates were made taking into account the vast amounts of ice. Some examples of the skates that have been discovered in these regions and consisted of a thin strip of copper attached to the bottom of a leather shoe. So what more can be done to ice skate? Apart from slight adjustments for comfort and durability, almost ice skate has not changed much over the past 5,000 years.

The skate was the most long-range ice skate used for many years and this was developed in New Brunswick, Canada by James A. Whelpley in 1859. This was developed for long distance skating on the lakes and the family business of manufacturing ice skates in this area for another seven years before he moved to New Hampshire.

Should I buy one or build one?

Making your own ghillie suit can be a very rewarding project. Is a very slow and before of starting your project you must determine if it's worth your time.

Having read further the process step by step you will see much time how to make a Ghillie suit is. Make a total Ghillie suit can take 15 to 40 hours. While you may think it will be a fun project on the principle of taking 2 hours every night for 8-20 days. Can your mind on day 5 forward who had just bought one.

Let's say you build a complete outfit in 20 hours. You must determine how long is worth it. If you say only $ 5/hour, construction demand is costing yourself $ 100. However, if you have fun doing it or your project you do with your family, this cost does not matter.
