The following crops are attacked by termites in Nigeria:

Cassava (Manihot utilissima)

Cassava cuttings are attacked in various ways by different species of termites. Ancistrotermes sp. Odontotermes sp. Pseudocanthotermes militaris and Microtermes sp., hollow logs below the land. Amitermes Macrotermes evuncifer attack subhyalinus and below the ground part of the cassava cuttings.

Citrus

Seedlings and saplings are cut below ground level by Macrotermes and Macrotermes bellicosus subhyalinus, while some trees matured can be damaged by the piping Odontotermes sp.

Peanut (Arachis hypogea)

Damage peanut termites is usually more severe towards the end of the growing season just before harvest. The attack is done by entering the tap roots and holes out. Termites can also enter the stem at the neck. The pods can be damaged on the outside or the nuts are eaten. They can cause the crop to wilt. Odontotermes sp. Microtermes spp. evuncifer Amitermes and have been implicated to cause damage to peanut plants.

Coco (Cocos nucifera)

The young shoots of coconut seedlings have been observed to be cut by termites. The termite species has been found to cause damage to roots and stems of seedlings, small trees and coconut: evuncifer Amitermes, Microtermes sp., fuscotibialis Microcerotermes and Ancistrotermes sp. evuncifer Amitermes mounds usually found at the base of mature trees, which are considerable damage to the roots and bottom of the stem.

Guinea corn (Sorghum bicolor)

In Nigeria, the crop is sometimes attacked if harvesting is delayed. Termite attack and eat the bottom of the plant and hollow out. The seeds in contact with the ground also be responsible for being eaten by termites. Bellicosus Macrotermes, Macrotermes subhyalinus, Ancistrotermes sp., Y Amitermes evuncifer have been identified to cause damage to guinea corn. Similar damage has been observed also in maize.

Kola nut (Cola accuminata)

Kolanut of seedlings in the nursery are attacked by Macrotermes subhyalinus and Odontotermes spp. On rare occasions, aburiensis Neotermes were collected from the branches of trees Kola nut.

Cocoa (Theobroma cacao)

Aburiensis Neotermes is a dry wood termites are commonly found in dead branches of the tree cocoa. Sometimes this termite can expand into the living part of the tree. Damage caused by N. aburiensis can help spread for "die-back fungus disease. Farm hygiene could help more in control of this species of termites. Coptotermes spp., Has caused damage by entry through wounds, or by piping the mature tree. bellicosus Macrotermes, M. subhyalinus, Pseudocanthotermes militaris, Microtermes spp., and Odontotermes spp., we know that "ring of bark and cutting down young trees.

Yam (Dioscorea spp.)

The most common termite attack both tubers and sets is evuncifer Amitermes. Yam is a tunnel and blackened with excretement. Observation shows tubers attack occurs primarily in the dry season before the harvest and during storage in the barns.

Mango (Mangifera indica)

Mango seedlings in the nursery are attacked by Microtermes sp. Evuncifer while Amitermes have been observed to build nests in the trunk of the mature tree.

Pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan)

Odontotermes sp. And subhyalinus Macrotermes are particularly known for the ring of bark and cut the neck of this crop, especially during the dry season. \

Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis)

How can I lose weight and stay at a healthy weight, while maintaining a full figure?

I used to be 120 pounds overweight (Yes, you heard). I lost about 30-40 and I'm about 90 pounds. overweight. I still exercise regularly and eat around 1500 calories a day. My question is this (if you have not read the title already): How can I maintain a full figure, maintaining a healthy weight? I do not want to be super skinny or fat super. I walk around 15-20 miles per week (five times a week). I also do weights once or twice a week. Insults and intelligent answers Aleck not be considered.
